U.S. Passport Services

For situations that are not time-critical, many routine passport services can be easily accomplished by individuals directly with the U.S. Department of State.

If you need personalized assistance with your passport services, or find yourself in a time-critical emergency, please contact us for assistance with the following services / situations:

General Information for All U.S. Passport Services

The below information about processing times, fees, and shipping applies to all U.S. Passport Services offered by SOS.  Please note, it is important to always contact SOS prior to submitting any materials so we can confirm that we can assist you within your required time frame, confirm our fees, and provide detailed instructions.

PROCESSING TIMES
Passports processed through SOS are typically issued next-day.  Same-day service may be available by prior arrangement.
Note: these are processing times only, and do not include transit time (FedEx) to and from SOS.  For passports received with FedEx first-delivery (9:00 / 10:00 AM service), SOS may be able to submit same-day.  This service must be pre-arranged and confirmed with SOS.  Otherwise, applications will be submitted the day after receipt.

FEES
In addition to the passport application and expediting fees payable to the government, SOS charges a service fee for processing your application.  Please contact us for current fees.
You will make one payment to SOS and we in turn will pay the application / expediting fees on your behalf; you do not need to provide separate payment to the Passport Agency.
SOS accepts payment via credit card or check made payable to "SOS - Satellite Office Services, LLC."  Please enclose payment along with your application materials when submitting to SOS or provide a credit card number.
If you are an existing client and have a billing arrangement with SOS, we may be able to cover the government fees and bill you for all government and SOS fees after your passport is returned.  In this case, payment is due within two (2) weeks of receiving an invoice.  If you have any questions regarding billing, please contact Lori Tierney.

SHIPPING
Prior to submitting any documents, please contact SOS to confirm our availability to assist you within your required time frame.  All three SOS offices are located near regional Passport Agencies, but most SOS passport services are provided through our Denver office.

All documents MUST be submitted using a traceable delivery method - i.e. FedEx or USPS Express Mail.  We can apply shipping charges directly to your company / tour FedEx account, or you can send us prepaid return shipping labels with your application materials.  If you do not have access to a FedEx account, we can add the cost of shipping to your bill.

​SOS ships using FedEx, except for deliveries which must be made to P.O. Boxes, in which case we will utilize USPS Express Mail.

SOS acts only as an agent and accepts no responsibility for the services of the U.S. Department of State / Passport Agency in connection with any application or passport service.  SOS shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or delays occasioned by any decision or action of the Passport Agency, nor for any loss, damage, or delays which result from the use of any shipping/delivery service such as FedEx, the US Postal Service, UPS, or DHL.  By submitting any materials to SOS or otherwise utilizing our U.S. Passport Services you release SOS from any liability in connection with any loss, damage, or unforeseen delays.
